About us

Mara & Lisa have been staging homes as a team since 2008. Our formal educations were in theater and computer science, but we were both drawn to our true passion of home staging. The desire to transform a space, to prepare a home to sell, compelled us the start Room For Improvement NY. We completed home staging certifications and have been successfully staging & stying apartments and houses in the NYC area ever since. In addition to home staging for real estate sales, our work includes photo styling for architectural photo shoots and redesign for homeowners who want an updated look.
